Ryan, our shipper!
You’ve approved your order and it’s been scheduled for production. So what happens next?
For screened products, this means that the artwork is printed out onto the positives and checked (again) for any issues. Once the positives have been printed, the screens are shot for the artwork and we start the screening process. When there are multiple colors, we have to shoot multiple screens (one for each color). The badges are sent to dry between screens. Once all the colors have been applied and dried, the badges move on to engraving, if needed. Once personalized (if needed) the order moves on to fabrication where the finishing touches of attachments and optional accessories are added (doming, frames etc). Once everything has been completed, the order is QC’d and packaged for shipping.
With digital products, the order goes straight from our production manager to our digital department where the artwork and personalization are output. Since art and personalization are output at the same time, additions or corrections are generally impossible after order approval. From the output the badges are then laminated or sublimated (depending on the product) and cut down. Finally the pieces go over to fabrication, where the finishing touches are put on and the product is QC’d and packaged for shipping.
From there the process is fairly simple. Our shipper gets all the paperwork filled out for shipping, e-mails the tracking information to the contact listed on our order acknowledgement and FedEx or UPS picks up your order.
So there you have it, the many checkpoints your order faces before it goes out our door and into your client’s eager hands. And of course you always have your helpful Imagery Group reps ready to help you make the right product selection and answer any questions you may have.
