Mini Promo Blocks with QR Code

Our Promotions East Giveaway

Maybe you’ve never heard of the term QR.
Maybe you’ve seen these square codes popping up everywhere.
Maybe you have scanned one before but never thought of a way to leverage them for YOUR business.

We deal with marketers and promoters every day. Heck, we produce ‘promotional’ products for a living. We’ve seen firsthand how using these little bastions of technology can really help you turn your marketing effort into an interaction. That’s what it’s all about isn’t it? Getting someone to interact with your company or product? That’s what converts passerby’s into passerBUYS. We have written a guide that covers some of the marketing gold that these QR codes provide.  In this guide, we cover some basics about QR codes, but more importantly, I wanted to show you first-hand how these QR codes can be used in a multitude of ways on a variety of products. Below is one of the pages on the guide talking about using QR codes to send a tweet.

Each page of the guide explains a different function and use for QR codes, so to download the whole 10 page guide, just click on the banner below, or HERE.

From Page 8 of the guide:

Scan the QR code to: automatically send a Tweet
Although at first glance this might seem a little less intriguing than other options, consider the exposure this creates. Having the scanner send out a pre-determined tweet to their entire legion of twitter fans can cast a huge umbrella!

QR Code on Frisbee

Even on a frisbee!

Imagine This:

You are walking through a mall and are stopped by a kiosk vendor trying to sell some of his light up Frisbees. Before you can dismiss him like the previous 6 that tried to get your attention, he tells you he is running a raffle for a $100 VISA card and all you have to do is scan this QR code that is on his Frisbee. (This could be applied with one of our extremely versatile domed decals printed with a QR code. Hint Hint…) Enticed by both the $100 and the unique sales pitch, you agree. So you scan this particular QR code and it prepopulates a tweet stating you just saw the handsome Frisbee man at The Mall of America with a link to a video of his cool light up Frisbees in action.  You send the prepopulated tweet out in a broadcast to all 300 of your friends because it’s humorous and it’s nice to be entered into his drawing. All of a sudden, the 1 scan turned into exposure to 300 people. What if only 1% of them thought the product was a neat idea and decided to retweet it to their 300 followers. That’s 3 people retweeting to an audience of 900. You have now reached 1,200 people from 1 scan. What if 1% of them share the link? See the possibilities from one well-placed QR code? Wouldn’t it be great if the Frisbee Man had a direct link below the video where you could order your own light up Frisbee for only $9.99?
